My car.... arg.
I'm only driving the thing for eight more days.... and it just has to break down one last time, when I'm in between Houston and San Antonio, and on the one day where I really can't pay for getting it fixed with my credit card... all of this combined made for quite an interesting afternoon. At least I got to relieve the tension by chilling with folks at Trinity, but I was still quite an unhappy camper. Not that I'm going camping.
Anyway, it did eventually get fixed (idler pulley had completely broken off, evidently...) and then I got to withdraw over $300 in cash from an ATM across the street so I could pay. Good grief. If only I'd remembered to borrow a credit card from my mom this morning....
But now I'm in Austin for the weekend with family, so I shouldn't have to do too much driving for the next couple days.
I must say I've been quite disappointed with the gas prices in San Antonio and Austin. Normally both cities are 10-20 cents cheaper than my part of Houston, but right now, we're 10-20 cents cheaper in Houston, and I even saw a couple gas stations yesterday that were 30 cents cheaper. Kind of nice in terms of being in Houston, except that I'm not there at the moment. And, in a week, all of this will be irrelevant. Moving in 7 1/2 days.... bizarre.
Oh, and thank you Astros for the win last night! It was a great last game for me to go to for a while... pretty exciting game, and the happiness of a win at the end. I have a fun picture from the stadium that I'll put up for my profile on facebook/myspace, if Katie ever sends it to me.
Hm... I'm tired. Time to read in bed, then sleeeeeep.
