Loneliness

Jilly is sad and lonely-looking... and that makes me sad. My mom's only been gone for two days, and yesterday Jilly pretty much spent the whole day hiding under the coffee table. She wouldn't even get up to greet my dad when he got home from work.
Today, I think she's doing a little bit better, though she's definitely not normal. I tried to go and play with her, but pretty much all she'd do was lie there and let me pet her. So, I ended up just kind of hugging her and lying on the floor with her.
Of course, she went psycho when I let her go outside after feeding her dinner. There were two squirrels and four or five birds in the backyard, so she dashed after them, but luckily didn't catch any of them ;). After the other day, I was sure to watch that she hadn't caught any of the squirrels....
I let her back inside after a while, and it was straight back under the table for her. Ah well.
Time to call and try to figure out the situation for moving into my apartment... ugh.
