dumbledoresman7The move is almost here... I'm starting to say goodbye to lots of people. So bizarre.
But, I got to buy fun luggage yesterday - it was on sale at Kohls, and has fun spinny wheels ;).
Erik's soccer tournament was the last couple of days. My cousin Bronwen and I spent the games plotting ways to get ourselves ejected, and lamenting the very existence of this silly, annoying dog that one of the parents had. It was apparently an Italian greyhound, but me no likey. Ever more evidence that my grandpa isn't quite with it anymore, but he can still talk for ages about the space program, and it was neat hearing some of the stories again today. Makes me sad to see NASA as it is today... it really used to be something special, and now all the politicians have sort of sucked the soul out of it, with this whole system of contractors... anyhoo, I digress. But, I hope this Orion project goes swimmingly, and we see some enthusiasm again for the space program.
I keep complaining how ready I am to be out in LA, and get my life going and all that, rather than waiting around as I have been recently. But now that it's so close, it's like I want this in-between time to keep going for a while. Just really setting in how many people there are that I care about who I won't see for quite some time.... though really, it's only a few months.
And, Erik continues to perplex. Just as he decided I must be miserable at Trinity without my friends from high school, when really I had more and better friends than ever before, tonight he was talking about how weird it would be for me to go eat out in LA, since I'd be going alone. First of all, I doubt I'll be eating out all that much on my budget, and second of all, I plan on making some friends, thanks... and I already know at least one person out there. Silly brothers...
